The word insect is derived from the Latin word “Lactum” which means cut into sections. Insects are belonging to invertebrates. Insects are the kind of animals that belong to the class insect. The insects are of different sizes, shapes, color, family, and weight. Some of the insects are poisonous and some are not. The insects are divided into three sections which are known as head, thorax and abdomen. They have six legs which are attached to the thorax.
The most of the insects usually have wings which are also attached to the thorax but some of the insects have hard wings such as beetle. Insects have compound eyes with a pair of antennae. They lay eggs. Insects are found in all the environments. Roughly around 90% percent of the insects live on the land and some of them live in oceans.
